Wheelchair Friendly Accommodation in Looe
Access to the hotel is either via the driveway or by steps from Station Road. We are located on the side of a hill overlooking the river. The view is part of what makes Trehaven special but, like most hotels in Looe, you need to go up the hill to get to us. Nearly everywhere in Looe requires a walk at some point, but having the benefit a car park outside the front door means that if you do not want to walk up the hill you can drive.
Wheelchair ramp into main entrance
The car park is directly outside the hotel. Nine easy steps take you up to the front door. We also have a ramp for wheelchair access into the hotel via the side door. The entire ground floor is wheelchair friendly: bedroom, dining room, lounge and bar. We also have a wheelchair and crutches at the hotel should you need them.
Room 1 is the only bedroom on the ground floor, but the bathroom's design means that you must be able to get out of a wheelchair to make full use it. Rooms 3 to 8 are on the first floor. We do not have an elevator.
Getting in to Looe
You can use the driveway or the steps (approx 60) to take you to the road into Looe. If you can walk unaided, going back up the steps is not difficult, but if you’re not so good on your legs then you may want to walk up the driveway.
East Looe town is approximately 500 metres from the hotel along Station Road, which is a flat walk all the way. Don’t worry if you can walk into town, there’s a car park in East Looe, plenty of taxis and we’re always happy to give you a lift if needed.
